MAVERICK'S MIRACLE BABIES FOUNDATION

Maverick’s Miracle Babies Foundation (MMBF) was founded in January 2013 in Austin, Texas. MMBF grants provide financial assistance to Texas couples facing the insurmountable costs associated with fertility treatments. The nonprofit foundation helped three couples conceive and hopes to maintain a perpetual fund that can continuously endow infertility treatments for underprivileged couples.

PUBLIC RELATIONS + FUND DEVELOPMENT

Lindsey was the first employee of Maverick's Miracle Babies Foundation.  She helped develop the brand, create a media presence, and raise over $3000 of in-kind donations for their first silent auction fundraiser.

As the public relations and development coordinator, the primary responsibilities at MMBF were to manage public relations and direct fund development.  The nonprofit organization was primarily a team of one with the assistance of the marketing department from MMBF's for-profit partner company EBQuickstart.

The role had two main components: initiate the media presence and manage fund development. Lindsey was also responsible for copywriting and editing all applicant, donor, and press correspondence.  On the press side, tasks included preparing press releases, media pitches, and press kits, as well as directly contacting media organizations.  Directing fund development was comprised of contacting potential donors, developing fundraising programs, securing donation commitments, and managing donor correspondence.
